What is a Moonglet?
A Moonglet is a fluffy Indian pancake made from moong dal batter. At Moongliscious it is crisped on the tawa, seasoned with our in-house spices, made with no onion and no garlic, and served in Noida and Greater Noida from ₹99 (Plain Moonglet at the Yatharth Hospital kiosk; ₹109 at Alpha 1, Alpha 2 and Sector 18).
How a Moonglet is made
The base is a batter of moong dal (split green gram). It is cooked on a hot tawa until fluffy and crisp, seasoned with our in-house spices, and the larger variants add vegetables or paneer. We cook with Amul butter, or olive oil on request.
Why order a Moonglet?
It is a simple, filling vegetarian choice for breakfast or a snack. Because it is built on moong dal, it is high in plant protein from moong dal and contains no maida (refined flour).
Allergen note: the Moonglet is zero maida but not gluten-free. It contains suji (semolina), which is wheat.
